Irritating Realization

Wed Dec 24, 2008, 9:09 PM
Well, I decided to come back home to Birmingham for a while until grad school rolls around again. I knew that I would have more opportunities in a bigger city, Birmingham is medium sized, but DAMN! I've been here 3 days and I already have an interview for a Graphic Design job off of my portfolio alone (I have no training at all). My old job heard I was in town and pulled me in on a "day after christmas" contracting job (I need $11 an hour right now). I even have a tattoo apprenticeship slot spoken for in a shop opening in a few months. Despite critical pieces of my photo gear breaking during the move, at least $1000 worth :rage:,this place is so encouraging I think I'll do better around here without working as hard as I have been in tiny little Auburn. I hate to say it, but shaving the mohawk might have helped......damnit...

Oh yeah, happy "Get Free Shit from an Imaginary Archetype of Materialism" Day!

You have some great work! Freaking sweet HDR's. My D40 isn't very friendly with doing them, so I only have a few under my belt. I would love to tag along with you on a shoot if you didn't mind. I moved to AU back in August and haven't been shooting as much as I should lately. Check out my stuff and see if you like it
